Effect of Polydopamine and Curcumin on Physicochemical and Mechanical Properties of Polymeric Blends

In this study, we prepared composites made from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), sodium alginate (SA), curcumin (Cur), and polydopamine (PD). The film-forming properties of the were researched for potential wound-healing applications. structures polymer blends studied by FTIR spectroscopy microscopic observations (AFM SEM). mechanical measured using a Zwick Roell testing machine. It was observed that formation polymeric film based on blend led to generation pores. presence in composite resulted alteration properties. After solvent evaporation, PVA, SA, formed stable film, but showed poor addition an improvement strength increase its surface roughness. A presented highest roughness value among all specimens (66.6 nm), whereas lowest (1.60 nm). PVA/SA/Cur PVA/SA/Cur/PD about 25 nm. Sodium values Young’s modulus (4.10 GPa), stress (32.73 N), tensile (98.48 MPa). PD Improved appropriate may suggest can be used preparation materials.
